Welcome to the Skylands Pony Club website. We are a small club located in Sussex County, New Jersey. Our membership, consisting of 11 children, all share the same love for horses. Our goal is, for our kids, to come out of their pony club experience feeling confident that they have enough knowledge to truly understand how to care for their horses. Our hopes are also to teach them how to safely ride and work around their horses, whether it is at home, on a trail, or in a competition. Being a pony clubber also teaches our kids to learn how to be a part of a team. We do this by having several un-mounted meetings, as well as an instructional coordinator who gives mounted lessons. By doing both of these our kids are able to prepare for their rally experiences. Our more advanced riders, and pony clubbers, are there to teach and mentor our new members, as well as our younger children.
